ExComical--The Extreme Comics Zone: Vault Of Horror

Vault of Horror is the other consecutive series of the Tales From The Crypt genre. Tales from the Crypt, along with its other siblings, The Haunt of Fear and The Vault of Horror were three bi-monthly horror comic series published by EC Comics in the early 1950s. The Vault of Horror hit book-stalls with its April/May 1950 issue and was stopped from publication with its December/January 1955 issue, producing a total of 29 issues.

The series was very popular, but during that period but some section of society like school-teachers, clerks-man thought that the series contributed to illiteracy. In April and June 1954, highly publicized hearings from Congressional subcommittee left the industry shaken. The hearing was about the effects of comic books upon children. Then due to highly imposed comic code, the publishers had to stop the production
